RV Camping Stowe Vermont | Mountain View Campground
Just over an hour away from our home, we drove to a campground just outside of Stowe, VT to enjoy the sites and sounds. This family truly enjoyed the campground, the town of Morrisville, the beautful town of Stowe, and the NY style pizza at Pizza on Main! Lord willing, we'll be back again in our Jayco 264bh.

We've been wanting to go for years but we didn't have any confidence that we could make good decisions on where to go and where not to go. With 3 kids, we had to be safe. So when our friends, who lived in NYC for many years, volunteered to be our guides, we made plans. It worked out better than we ever imagined and we plan to go back again. Take a 3000-Mile Journey with a New 2022 Ram 1500 BigHorn Hemi eTorque 4x4 - Drive Review
The beauty of Vermont never ceases to amaze me and I’ve lived here for 70 years
I’ve only been here 14 years but it continues to keep me in awe 🙌
Can you do another run with no bar ends?
I have! It vibrates a lot. Never realized how heavy stick mirrors are! They act as vibration absorbers too.
@@sstressfl Thank you very much. I meant with the "Vibration Meter, seismograph" app to measure the difference. I am dealing with some numb hands on a '23 CRF250F and have to solve it or sell it...
@thetruthserum2816 engine mounts tight? Heavy steel bar ends and foam grips are affordable and easy to test. Before you sell, give it a try?
Thanks for the video! I repaired my leaking ceiling fan on my A frame camper, and it was surprisingly easy. I used "Through the Roof" sealant, as recommended by a friend, and it shouldn't leak anymore. It's difficult to catch drips in an A frame ceiling since water runs down the ceiling and doesn't drip in one place. I found a 3/4" opening in the frame of my ceiling fan that shouldn't have been there, that was allowing water to get in, so I covered it with duct tape first.
Water is the destroyer of campers! Sounds like you nailed it 👍
Please answer. Does it matter what nozzle the return line is connected to on the actual cooler?
You want to make sure you connect to the low pressure line (cold) where the trans fluid returns to the transmission. But the flow direction does not matter on the aftermarket cooler itself. I hope that helps!
@@sstressfl Thanks
I love this! This is fantastic, thank you!
Thank you for the feedback 🙏❤️
Great job! That piston material is phenolic.
Just like a motherboard huh? Like hard clay.
Harley shifting is always been like that clunk!
I have heard it often. Nice to know it’s common.
I have a 2003 and 2013 dodge grand caravan and replaced the transmission pan with one with a drain plug on both of them. So every time I do an oil change, I also change out the transmission oil. You won't get everything, but over time the old is being swapped out for new oil and after several times (5-6) your transmission oil will only have old oil in the single digit percentage range. Once the percentage of new transmission oil is over 90%, you can change it at every other engine oil change. I have done this method on my 24 year old Honda Odyssey and the transmission runs like a top.
I do understand why you would so that. 50% of the old fluid is still in the tc. I would still change the filter at least on the second pan dump. When it gets filled with clutch material and metal it becomes less efficient and can lower your line pressure. That’s just me 👍 I’m glad it’s working for you.
@@sstressfl I was not clear. My bad. What I did (for my odyssey) was drain the tf then added the same amount back. At the same time added a WIX inline TF filter. (The OEM TF is buried deep in the transmission, and short of tearing it down, you can't get to it). Drive for about 50 to 100 miles. Drain again, refill, drive. Repeated this about 5 times. After 5 times of doing this, the TF fluid was bright cherry red. I replaced the wix filter, and now only need to change the TF at every oil change or every other. I noticed on the odyssey, the rpms have dropped about 200 after doing this. I am in the process of doing this process with my caravans. They are on their 2nd cycle of drain, refill, drive a bit cycle., and yes when it is done replace the filter.
You're awesome, thanks! just fixed mine!
Love it 🙌 thank you 🙏
Great vid. Thanks for the info. FWIW I was able to get Timken bearings from Amazon at 6 bucks a piece while Grainger wanted 36 bucks each. So it pays to shop around.
Great feeling isn’t it 💪💪
Thanks for the advice ❤
My husband just changed his, but I’m still dizzy when I take the van. The only thing I can see is that he didn’t make sure the pipe was exactly round. The other thing, he used an original second hand. This means that the metal is thicker. Maybe he didn’t tighten the metal band enough 🫤
It might be a good idea to put it back up in the air, make sure its safely supported on proper jack stands with a hydraulic jack in place as well, start it and you can feel around the pipe to see if its puffing exhaust out of the clamped areas. If it is, then it needs to be tightened :)
don't get it on any paint ............ don't ask me how i know this =)
It does say test for n inconspicuous area before applying. Definitely means you need to be careful on where you spray it 👍
@@sstressfl i was spraying it onto my car's outside the front window vent, thinking it would help circulate it through out the car,by accident some got sprayed onto the hood and damaged it; hours of orbitable buffing over time improved, but did not remove it =(
@@earlforman3030 thats a good warning to others to be careful with it!
Hi can I ask if you show in your video a left hand or right hand winch we have the same camper but our jockey wheel is on the left hand side of the the camper so we need the handle of the winch to be on the other side then yours

If it comes back - make sure you're not running on over-inflated tires. I went through two years of scratching my head with a Buick TourX. Same engine in the AWD Insignia platform. I had a persistent shudder that felt like a mis-fire under moderate load. When I reduced my tire pressure from 40psi down to 35psi ... the shudder almost completely went away (Dropping it down to the factory recommended 32psi would probably completely eliminate it). I also noticed you've got aftermarket rims and tires which may be exasperating the problem (anecdotally from having a BMW 740i in the past - I could not get rid of a vibration until I switched back to OEM wheels and tires). That grumble? You're driving in snow and ice - could it have just been a piece of broken off ice and grime that got caught between your wider aftermarkets and the plastic fender guards? Anyway - all the best. These are very nice cars for the price compared to some German and Japanese competitors.
Loose rear differential. They never installed it properly. And a very low audits part.
Great video, thanks for posting!
Thank you 🙏
I have a 2016 breakout and love it
Most gorgeous Harley ever made 😎💪
I have to say THANK YOU! Your video was the first piece of knowledge I got when doing this repair myself. I was extremely relieved when I turned the key on and the engine sang gently back to life. My engine a 2016 pentastar was so loud. I found 3 completely failed rockers. I used Melling and replaced all 24 lifters and rockers. QUIET!!. While in there replaced the water pump as it showed signs of leakage, all spark plugs and coils. Engine is running so smooth. THANK YOU! I prayed all through the process specially when my timing chain skipped as I was trying to torque back to spec. Realigned everything and IT WORKED.
Love it 🙌🙏 God is good. So glad to hear your story brother 👏👏👏 Enjoy that smooth quiet ride 💪😎
We haven’t taken the gondola at Stowe, may have to try that. Enjoy your videos.
Thank you 🙏 thanks for sharing your experience.
We enjoy that campground, usually we finish the summer there on Columbus Day weekend. The bike riding on the trail is nice and the town shops are fun to go through.
Awesome 👏 It’s a beautiful area. Great escape for some family fun 👍
Don't ski.. we can still be friends ;-)
😂 I grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan! We turned wrenches in the garage. There was no skiing. But my kids ski and they are so good!!
Excellent video Have a caravan with a slight tick Now I know what to expect
Thank you 🙏
Awesome video brother. Love camping
Me too brother 🙏 great family memories!
Cool story
Is that Dale Jr?
😂
Great video man. I had a question. Does this service require a non slip additive to the oil?
No not at all. The new Mobile HP fluid was designed with a little extra friction modifer to help with the probems in the 8 speed. Its Dexron 6 with a boost :) But many people use the regular GM fluid (AC Delco) with no problems. The important thing is to change it and get a new filter in their. If you have a serious shudder, multiple fluid changes (3) might be needed or a professional flush. Hope that helps!
@@sstressfl thank you . 🙏🏽
Thats so weird, I had a Rockwood with electric winch and I love it (never had an issue). I am the opposite right now, I will love to replace the manual winch on my Jayco for an electric one. The closest I am is to use a heavy expensive power drill with an adapter.
I replaced it because they are dangerous. Ours tried to rip the top off our camper. Bent the hitch mount area too. Very powerful. Very loud. And susceptible to failures. Here’s the video of when it failed. ua-cam.com/video/jvKrOAxnrI4/v-deo.htmlsi=peUa3rmeVfYNjDQo
@@sstressfl interesting, mine was 2014 and was not anything like you are saying, very gentle and never gave us any issue. I guess they changed motor models or something.
@@angelscomputers Every product, even a poor one, can have a number of good ones that last a long time and perform as they should. In the video I contacted the dealer and expected surprise from them. They were not surprised. He said I should install a shut off switch on the hitch so there is no power to it when not in use. Its pretty common. I get messages frequently about failed electric winches and conversion to manual winch.
Hold on, no oem wheel liner off the factory floor?
My 2022 F250 didn’t have them either. The dealer offered to sell them to me! What do you want for 52k.
I know right??!! It didnt have a brake controller or a class 4 hitch either. I have since upgraded all of that :)
@@jimperry4420all this shit is dumb. eventually the motor will be an OPTION.
😂 agreed!!
Yayyy!
Earnhardt jr ? 😂
HA! I was in a bank down in FL (many years ago) when a young lady behind the counter shouted "Dale Jr is here!". That was the first time I heard that lol
Seal the weep holes first.. that's why the wells rot out to begin with
Sorry for asking but what caused your back injury?
No worries! It was a couple of neck discs that got messed up when I pounded my head into a post at Disney of all places! And then over the next couple years it slowly got worn down until it failed. Here's the video explaining (and showing) what happened: ua-cam.com/video/J69FRK-nrZI/v-deo.htmlsi=aLxnPK39iRZ6cM_9
I got a 2024 Laramie and it comes with two half inner liner leaving the entire center wide open. Makes zero sense to me on a 67k truck. God bless brother.
Mine is the same but mine is a $55k truck. Makes zero sense on the Laramie trim! Wow! I think you’d like this upgrade 👍 God bless you too 🙏🙏🙏
Which action cam in this video bro?
GoPro max. I think it has a great picture. The GoPro Software is crazy easy to use too 👍
Good Job !
Thank you 🙏 😎
first im yelling at the screen "take the wheel off"... then yelling "drill a pilot hole"...then thinking "that looks good".."hey...good idea"...next i find myself on google searching to get myself a couple... good idea michael... thanks.

Cool ride, great sky and love to hear your take on the world. Glad your Back, the laugh at the end, says so.
Appreciate it my friend 👊
I bought a nearly new Escalade ESV that had been smoked in (probably cigars, not cigarettes.) After a complete interior deep clean including steam, ozone machine, and chemical treatments there was still a slight odor. I tried masking it with various air fresheners but the very slight odor was still there. Having used many other Chemical Guys products, I decided to try the "new car smell" spray. I applied a few mists on the carpeted surfaces and then removed the cabin air filter and applied a couple of small squirts into the HVAC system. To my surprise, the nicotine smell was completely gone! Not just masked, but GONE. I wouldn't say that this product isn't exactly a "new car smell," it's more like a new leather smell. Mostly neutral and not overpowering. It's actually the exact same fragrance as the Chemical Guys leather conditioner, which I also use. Highly recommended!
I agree! It doesn’t just mask the odor with a scent, it’s actually an excellent odor naturalizer. Love it! Thanks for sharing 🙏
Maybe you bought Seinfeld's "smelly car" the BEAST!! LOL! Yeah, I've been using Chemical Guys for years, works great!
😂
Nice to see you are enjoying your ride Michael. Just remember not to get too heavy a bike... incase you drop it .... keep taking care of your back and neck.. ride safe brother.
Valid! Appreciate it 🙏
The BMW S1000XR is the street-biased version of the GS for what it's worth. But I get you, I don't want an ADV. I'm also looking at a new bike because someone decided to take my bike out from under me last week (I'm fine, just bruises, super lucky and was wearing all my gear!). My eyes are on the Honda CBR650R and Triumph Daytona 660 right now. They're sporty boys but the riding position is a bit more relaxed. I don't think it'd be relaxed enough for you, though. Have you thought about getting a Street Triple? A buddy of mine has one of those and my god it looks and sounds amazing.
So sorry you lost your bike! So thankful you’re ok! 🙏 Whew!! And yes the 650r is not bad but too much lean for me. Plus if I go, I wanna go bigger engine. And the downside of the street triple is the bizarre floating eyeball headlight on the front. Other than that I have read good things about it.
Yamaha raider or a vmax
I like the Vmax! I need to go ride one 💪 thank you! 🙏
Check out Amsoil’s Bar and Chain oil that stuff is what I use. It’s very very tacky and won’t fling out you won’t regret it.
Agreed on Harleys. I've been riding them for a while but I'm noticing my back hurting more and more. And that's with a "mid control" set up. Of course, that's a Harley mid control set up, which is a total joke compared to an actual mid control set up 😂 The new 1300 GS is a beast. Glad you're feeling better, riding around and looking after yourself!
Thanks Anton! The BMW R18 is a true mid setup. I could probably ride that. But I had issue when I test rode it with its poor feeling brakes, bendy chassis…. maybe it’s better now. I might go take another look 😎 And test ride a 1300GS! 💪
Same here with discipline with sweets. Best for me not to have any in the house! Happy to see you enjoying your lunch time rides! Be safe!
Hope you’re having a great summer 🙏
Great to hear brother! My SENA Bluetooths to my Insta360 Ace Pro… very clear. Testing my neck (pre surgery) on a trip to Colorado in a few weeks 😊
Praying for your safe ride! The Colorado trip sounds amazing (I miss that big sky!) May your neck perform flawlessly. Are you scheduled for the same thing I had?
@@sstressfl Mike my C6-C7 is not as bad as yours was, so I’ve been able to manage with meds… my SENA is pretty heavy. Move my cameras off my helmet. Thanks for asking friend. Surgery is in my future as this doesn’t just get better. Pushing it out as long as I can. 🙂🙏🏻
@@robertwhitemoto My sympathy for your pain. Its a real stressor. Smart to get the SENA weight off your helmet especially since the weight is off balanced. The helmet alone is very neutral weight.
